Does anyone else think wet wet wet had some good tunes?

No but my favourite cheese is goats cheese.

Wensleydale for me, as it is or with bits of apricot in it

Afternoon chaps and Happy New Year to you all!

A better showing this afternoon, albeit helped out by Cattermole's crapness. As ever, it's our lack of composure and passing in the midfield that will do for us (if anything does, I'm confident we'll get something out of this).

I love a bit of paneer. Mildly sauteed, of course.

With better decision making near their goal we could be 3 up by now. At least we have the lead a the moment. Lets hope Lambo doesn't make any stupid decisions during HT.

Better so far, but we're still happy to let them have the ball.  Cattermore obviously the answer to our central defensive issues.

We're winning, but if we're honest we know we don't deserve it. Our goal was the result of a hideous defensive mistake, and we've had so little of the ball again it's kind of hard to believe. The defence looks much better with Vlaar back, though, even if Clark instead of Baker would make everything infinitely better.

Bacuna has put a couple of good crosses in to the near post but Benteke isn't making the run in front of the defender, he really needs a goal.

Bizarrely we played rather nice football the last 2 minutes of the half. Knocked it about, neat passing, ended with a Bacuna pass into the box. Lovely.

How come during the rest of the half we give it away all the time?

Miles better than recent showings, although if we persist in giving the ball away and letting the opposition keep it, we'll end up in familiar territory.

We should be able to keep these out but I'd be happier to get another goal. Think 2-0 would be game over.

We are looking better but we still seem incapable of retaining the ball for more than 2 passes.  Luna is abominably bad and Baker out of his depth.  CB looks 75% which is a massive improvement on the 35% we've seen recently.  Gabby took his goal really well albeit a gift from Cattlemole.  Bacuna looks good going forward.

It suits us while we are one up as we can counter at pace.  We need another (and possibly another).
