shit, useless fucking hoofball. no confidence, no desire to play football. don't let our one move that culminated in a goal cloud over how bad we are.

Swansea practice how to move off the ball and into space and play with a nominal formation which allows them to be more fluid. The problem with our formation is that it's too much of a Formation, with players stuck in their positions which, combined with our obvious lack of practicing these moving-off-the-ball novelties, means we're being utterly dominated.

PWS must be fuming; we've not scored a first half goal all season which means he hasn't seen us score down his end yet. Finally we get one and Swansea have elected to attack the North Stand first, lol.

there isn't one decent football player in that team. we never replaced petrov and we're really paying for it now. worst midfield in the league

Second half is where a good manager can turn things around and make the necessary tactical changes, so don't fret.......

Good energetic first 15 minutes though.

27% possession at home.

Swansea look like visitors from the Planet Football.

Embarrassingly shit.

I hope everyone watching this who ever advocates 4-4-2 is now seeing the futility of playing like that. It's not bad if you want to be defensive, dig in, frustrate and counter, but if you want to have a lot of the ball and go toe-to-toe with an opponent, especially one like Swansea, you just can't fucking play it.

It's not the formation, it's the style. We need to push up and press them. Any formation is shit if you have everyone in your own third except for your strikers.

Come on, that's willful blindness. The formation is a huge contributor to the crapness of the style: not having options on the ball, everyone being miles from everyone else, being too far away from anyone else to be anything other than stodgy and stuck in 'your position' and never interchange, being constantly outnumbered in the middle of the pitch and nobody knowing whether to commit or run backwards all of this virtually guarantees less possession and being overrun, especially by a side like Swansea.

It seems that you've summed up how weplay no matter what the formation.

We not playing 4-4-2 though we're playing 8-2. Which led to 36 minutes of total domination from them.

You're not wrong, but you could be righter. Sometimes we play better than other times with the 4-3-3 - but the 4-4-2 will always result in this.

Is Luna paying the Villa to play, because if he is not and Lambert does not go and buy a left back in January the man is a disgrace. If you have a child who wants to play as a full back, video Luna and make sure he or she see's how it should not be done.
