I am seriously considering having a Saturday afternoon at home ...not sure I can take another 90 minutes of the rubbish we are turning out ....

Yesterday was worse than ever ....MOTD showed one clip from the first half and that summed it up ...

My guess is the only certain thing is that we will score NIL !

Depressing or what?

I'm relying on us being their bogey side. That's all I've got.

I saw us play Swansea 2 seasons ago and they battered us 2-0 at Villa Park.

Me too. In fact, Warnock gifted them their first goal horribly.

And last season, we won 2-0 in one of our best performances before February. High tempo passing and Ireland had a good game. I know! Freak occurence.

Surely we cant lose again? Difficult to imagine much else but lets get behind the team, and banish the deathly spectre of relegation that seems to be emerging.

Key players missing, no leaders on the field, zero confidence, tactically clueless manager and the return of the creeping malaise in the stands.

0-3

At least Westwood is back so we can drop the hapless KEA.

Is Westwood much better than El Ahmadi? Not in my eyes.

Maybe ever so slightly. Maybe.

Clueless at the back, weak in midfield but with a half decent attack. Unfortunately our forwards only see the ball when it is rocketed up pitch by Guzan.

We are woeful, embarrassing and headed for the drop.

If injuries deprive us of Benteke and Vlaar for any longer we will be at the foot of the table in two months.

Ah leadership, Gabby is never captain material we need someone with a presence and a voice, we dont seem to have that without Vlaar.

I ended up avoiding watching the palace might, so as not to spoil the xmas atmos. Think I'll avoid watching this. I really don't want to be in a stinking mood.
We're going to get battered. Swansea are a better side with a much better manager. They had a disappointing start, but are warming up now. A better squad too.
How sad is it that it's come to this? Teams like Southampton and Swansea comfortably above us. Before anyone says Swansea are only a point above, I think they'll be 4 points above tomorrow evening, and well shot of us by may. Better squad, some sort of gameplan, and players now hitting form. We're an utter shambles.

We'll either get turned over big-style here if we perform like we did on Thursday or we'll adopt the usual Villa approach of pulling something out of the bag when least expected.

2-0 Villa win.

I said exactly this yesterday.
Gabby does not lead, and does not lead by example.
Delph would be my choice....at least he appears to care.
