What a thoroughly joyless, dispirited and energy-sapping half of football. Stay tuned for another one, soon.

I know we're not losing but that's terrible, terrible, terrible.

I have to say, he's losing me now. That really was astonishingly bad.

To be honest, considering what has been served up at Villa Park for quite some time, I think fans have been far more tolerant than can be expected. A huge club serving up dross week after week.

Spot on .

Attempt off the line finally. Close. No cigar.

Watching this even I am starting to question if a change might do us good.

No urgency, no heart, spirit, not pinning them back and going at them. No tempo, no passing and movement. Such a sterile side. We need 3 players in Jan and that is before the need for a centre half rears its head.

Gardner on please. Cant be any worse.

Utterly predictable score and performance, I daresay someone thinks we're all being terribly negative as we could still finish as high as 14th or some equally comforting aspirational thought

Season after season, we're stinking out the division. It can't go on like this for much longer.

How can Southampton, Swansea who were all playing League football just a few years ago be so much better on the eye and better player for player in just a few seasons.

Board or manager?

''They were brilliant for me in that half'' said Lambert.
