On a serious note, I'd play the following side;

Guzan; Lowton, Clark, Baker, Luna; Bacuna, Herd, Delph, Albrighton; Agbonlahor; Kozak

Subs; Steer, Sylla, Gardner, KEA, Tonev, Helenius, someone other than Bowery.

I reckon we should play Tonev , drop him deep , probably behind our goal line , so one of his shots might then hit the net

Salifou would make a great false nine.

Appears that Palace have nearly a whole team out injured and Chamakh is suspended.

Remember him getting one of his very few goals for Arsenal against us at the North Stand, so that's probably a good thing.

Kevin Phillips will probably get a game then .

Cameron Jerome up front on his own is what their fans seem to be predicting.

Pulis will come to frustrate - ideally we need an early goal or it could turn out to be a long afternoon , palace will probably look to invite us to break them down and hope to snatch it on the break or from a set piece - exactly the sort of team we find difficult to play against .

I can't help feeling it'll be a terribly 0-0 draw.  I don't care how we do it, I don't care if it's a last/first minute own goal, just win this game!!

First half goal would be nice, we haven't managed that yet have we?

Hopefully this will be the game where we break this duck.  It HAS to happen at some stage.  What a very weird statistic!

It would be a good game to score in the first half at Villa Park for the first time this season. It would also be a pleasant surprise.
