Tonev just seems to play his own game regardless of what options he has around him, I will give him this year to settle but I honestly dont think he is going to make it, hope I am wrong and please yes he is the easy target, but that is because of how he is playing, nothing else.

Single out Tonev time.

Not really. I think most people are pointing out he's had a particularly bad half - which is hard to argue against if you've watched the match.

I think, if anything, he's trying too hard. If that makes sense.

Albrighton has done well, the ball in for Kozak at about 10minutes was close to a perfect cross, just a shame Kozak had gone a bit too early.  The defence looks better than expected and Weimann has looked sharp.  Delph has struggled to find Tonev a few times which is a bit frustrating as he's a better player than that.  I have no idea what to say about Tonev, I really don't think he's as poor as he looks but absolutely nothing is going for him again today.  I still think he's going to be one of those players where there will be a definitive turning point and it will all just click.

Wilson is very lucky to be on the pitch, could easily have been a red and even without it he was lucky not to have been on a yellow anyway for the push on Albrighton earlier.

Stoke are still a right bunch of thugs, lots of niggly crap off the ball and blocking off of runs, then when anyone reacts they throw themselves to the floor and appeal for anything they can get.

in a game with two poor sides, we look slightly better. Stoke rallied a bit before the break but some great defending from Clark and Baker kept them out. Expecting a lot more from Delph and Westwood in midfield.

This game is eminently winnable.

I agree Paulie, Ive heard the players say the same.

You may as well recall Grealish from his loan and play him instead of Tonev; can't do any worse surely? Hopefully Stoke will tire in the 2nd Half after their midweek exertions against Manure.....

I think it explains the shooting from 40 yards thing he does, definitely.

Some of these players are going to need time, I reckon he's clearly one of them.

Deserved today I am afraid. His positive is he has been tracking back to help out Clarke a lot, so thats good. But he and Delph have been competing with Stoke for the "worse passers of the day" award.

With enforced changes today if we keep it 0-0 today that will do.

It's winnable, I reckon, but a point at Stoke isn't too bad. I think I'd take it now. It'd mean I could turn this off and go and play childish computer games instead of watching the second half, too.

The worst bit being that the players are either more senior or possible difference makers. This is pretty much the best Stoke have which is awful.
