Was in Agadir Wednesday and there was a match between Raja Casablanca v Auckland city in some worid club championship match..Thousands of Casablanca fans were there from early morning [aparrently they are the man.u of morocco ]. Quite a few kept speaking to me but as I don't speak much French and no Arabic all I could reply with was " me English...aston villa" All of a sudden two of them shot off and then returned with Issam a Casablanca fan who attends matches wearing a villa top and follows us via tv and the internet..Eventually I was surrounded by a couple of dozen of them and I explained in great detail how we were going to nail utd today , to the point where I think they even believed me..!! I was also introduced to some of their 'ultras' who didn't look very ultra to me..If ever they have to go to Cardiff I couldn't see them even getting off the coach..!! Anyway it just goes to show that no matter how shit we are people all over the world still follow us..

You know things are desperate when threads in honour of Black Lace songs start appearing.

Lots of Moroccans over here and they all follow Villa with an incredible interest, because of El Ahmadi.
Needless to say, walking through the town after the game yesterday there were some very glum looking Moroccan faces.
