You'd think RL would have some idea of how bad we are at home and want to do something about it...

I'm already worried that Xmas will be ruined by palace and Swansea. We've lost our way at home, it's become psychological I fear.

Don't worry , enjoy your turkey and Xmas day - the games fortunately fall after Xmas day so don't let it spoil your Xmas.

I wish it was only the cost of the season ticket.   When my two sons and my grandson sat down with me a couple of weeks ago we would have done over 1000 person miles by the time we got to our respective homes.   Norwich away is the least I have to travel and that is over 100 miles round trip.   Yesterday I drove a round trip of 220 miles for a bag of chips and a walk round the club shop.   Just keep the faith.   Grit your teeth, sit in a corner with your elbows over your head like a chimpanzee and do the pain.   As we used to say in the army.   It is not always this bad.   Most of the time it is worse.  Up The Villa.

You should have been there the day we were relegated in the 90th minute of the last game of the season.  A huge lazy lob was thumped towards our goal at the Holte End.   It seemed to hang in the air for an eternity.   The legendary Jimmy Dugdale had tracked back to defend the goal line.   The Holte End held its breath.   If it went in we were down.   If Jimmy cleared it we were safe.   Jimmy Dugdale was the most one footed player I have ever seen in a Villa shirt.   With his right peg he was majestic with his left he was like Long John Silver.   You could feel the prayers ascending from the Holte.   Please God let it fall to Jimmy's right foot.   It fell to the left, Jimmy kicked fresh air and we were down.

Don't get me wrong I will never give up on villa, I can't. But I'm a middle aged miserable git and I'm entitled to moan about anything. Villa being no exception  :(

He did. He sacked the last manager partly due to the poor home form and negative atmosphere at home games...

Has RL even watched a home game this season? Villa are shocking value for money and have been for the last 3 years, especially to season ticket holders like myself

I don't know of other league teams Legion.

I pity the diehards in the North stand, all they've seen is the opposition scoring infront of them this season.

No wonder Saunders_Heroes is always on suicide watch on here. ;)

I sit in the North Stand as well. Bloody nightmare.

Like most on H&V, i`m a committed supporter who "Puts his money where his mouth is" and buys his season ticket every year, but for how much longer??. The club do seem to be taking our loyalty for granted, i am pretty certain that a conversation along the lines of "These fucking idiots will keep turning up every week no matter what" has probably taken place in the boardroom on more than one occasion, WRONG!!, an increasing number of supporters are beginning to question the whole package. WE EXPECT TO BE ENTERTAINED, THATS WHY WE GO, Speaking personally i am just not prepared to spend half a grand a year to watch the team lose or struggle to a draw every home game, no one expects a champions league place any more but at least give us a side who wins its home games, Lerner needs to tell PL that this is the bare minimum, our home record is quite shocking and has been for four seasons now, losing at home to the Arsenals and Man Us is no disgrace, losing to, and making the Fulhams and Wigans etc look like world beaters is another matter entirely, at one time we would say "oh we should beat these", no-one says that any more, we`re Aston Villa for gods sake, we`re playing at home, Lets start playing like it, before the rows of empty seats start to turn into entire blocks.

Yeah, yeah...

See you next week.

LOL
