One league win in 35 against this lot. The fact i'm not there and that starting 11 is so shit surely today is the time to beat this lot again.

Cleverely and Giggs in midfield, yikes that is poor. They will still probably give our duo the runaround though
As we're playing 3 in the middle, I'm hoping we'll overrun them. Syllas energy will be key. He needs to have a good game today. KEA can't go missing either.

Nervous as all hell, I'll be watching on TV today so good luck to all those at Villa Park. Roar the Lions home!

Not nervous - i don't expect anything here so whatever we get will be a pleasant bonus , happy with this line up though.

Fair point. We haven't beaten them at VP in the league since '95, we conceded 3 at home to them last season, we're missing our best defender(s) and our world class striker is suffering a severe dip in form and goals. Still, there's enough hope to make me think we can actually get something out of this today, either that or I've lost it completely.

Re Vlaar - if is a long one this winter we simply have to get an experienced centre half in. Lescott on loan running up to the world cup would be the best bet then re-visit in the summer.

I'd be happy with a CB with experience like Lescott whether Vlaar is out or not plus a quality creative midfielder. Throw in an Ashley Young to add some extra ammo and all of a sudden we're a very different proposition.

Good line up though. We're going to have a go and that's a start.

They could put a fucking donkey in the centre of the park and beat us. Don't get yer hopes up, it is united at VP! They like it here more than at Old Trafford!

I am sure the last time I was happy with a line up was some time last season and we got battered too, so I am not sure being happy with the line up is a good sign!

Well I'm glad we're not playing a back 5 and look like we're going for it. Benteke needs to step up today, Delph and Vlaar are massive losses.

Manure subs: Ferdinand, Lindegaard, Young, Fabio, Fletcher, Büttner, Zaha
That's quite a poor bench too. I don't know how Fabio gets anywhere near a Premiership starting 11, let alone Utd's. Same goes for Buttner.

Remember Fabio playing for QPR against us last season, he probably cost them the game. He strutted round the pitch but was ridiculously shite. Somehow he started in a champions league final perhaps in a case of mistaken identity. Seems strange to drop Young for this game.

Just had an illogical random wave of optimism about this. But, Albrighton & Lowton are not PL match fit and must keep Januzaj & Giggs quiet over on that side.

Seems we are the WM game. I can't wait to listen their commentary.

I challenge you to make the end without having the urge to punch Franks in the head.
