I thought we were in with a chance of beating Liverpool earlier this season as they had Suarez missing but that didn't work out either. It's a bonus that RVP is out but it's still going to be a tough game. I think we need to pack out the midfield to make up for  Delph being missing and hopefully they'll play an ageing Giggs and Phil Jones in there again. This is our best chance of beating them for a while, I just hope we don't blow it.

A first half performance like last years game and we can finally break the spell they've had over us at VP. Im sure behind close doors Lambert laid into them after the Fulham match and we cant play that poorly two games in a row.

With Vlaar and Delph I would have been more hopeful but footballs a funny game - arsenal and city are both streets ahead of united and we beat both of those - you can never tell .

No RVP is a blessing, even if he's not really got going this season. You still have to worry about Wazza because he loves playing us.
I think if we can frustrate the Roon we'll get a draw.

Yep we could turn them over 3-1 or they could beat us 4-0 and get their season back on track. Could be a stale 0-0.

Two years out of the past three we've been 2-0 up against them but there was always the feeling that they'd get back into it. That fear factor's gone now.

Luna and Kozak have trained today apparently. Vlaar is still a doubt though.

good news I suppose is that the game is Sunday. I think if he has a chance that helps him because if it was tomorrow he'd likely be out for sure.

Genuinely pleased RVP is out.

And not just because I had a few quid on The Wazztastic Roon to be first goalscorer earlier in the week.

DW is spot on, IF we were to go 2 up as in times gone by, that's one less game-changing player to worry about. He's exactly the sort of player they'd rest initially and bring off the bench to dig them out of the shit in an emergency. I also totally agree their self belief of years gone by doesn't exist anymore and refs are infinitely less likely to give them a dodgy decision just because they're scared of getting slagged off by Ferguson on MOTD.

Grit your teeth and get stuck in lads. If we get our noses in front you never know.

When was the last time Yanited lost three league games on the trot? Or failed to scored in three games in a row?
We'll have to score at least twice to get anything and with Benteke and Andi not firing that's gonna be a tough ask.

There's nothing at all easy about Sunday, but them having key players out obviously helps. We've come very close to doing them a few times in recent years at VP, but between finding ways to shoot ourselves in the foot and the Ferguson "never say die factor" they've managed to beat us more often than not. They don't have that now and Moyes on the sidelines is a world apart from Ferguson. Biggest issue for us we simply cannot give them the ball because if we do they will beat us. And that has been our major flaw in the last few games especially. We gave Fulham the ball and they beat us and they're at the arse end of the table. A good side like Man U will know exactly how to punish us, whether they are going through a bad spell by their standards or not.

We gave Saints the ball more than any other side yet it worked out. Somehow.
