No chance of winning this
When a team desperately need a result, we are the go to team of choice to play, see Fulham
When a striker needs a goal because he hasn't scored for a million years, never mind were playing Villa, guaranteed goal for said forward

My prediction is-
Rubbish match, 2 nill loss, big time moaning on post match thread, with a few Lambert out calls

Depressingly correct.

With our depleted defence i will be suprised if we lose by less than three.

I think he's referring to the fact that Vlaar is out and as we have conceded 4 goals in a game and a half without him I'd say robbo has a valid point.

Do you think it was Vlaar’s absence that lead to Fulham scoring twice? There was no issue with the centre halves on Sunday at all.

Rubbish - Vlaar was badly missed not just for his playing ability but also for his organisation of the defence , our defence were all over the place on Sunday - Vlaar was badly missed.

I don't think its rubbish at all. I though Clark and Herd were absolutely fine there.

Bacuna was the weak link and he was targeted. Fulham had clearly watched the Southampton game. Did you notice how many long diagonal balls were put over him, because he was positional too high? I won't criticise him for the tackle for the penalty, as it wasn't a foul, but his positioning was fatally exposed in the first instance.

He was also directly at fault for the first and gave Fulham an avenue of attack and an area to put their outlet ball. I have never understood our recent manager’s neglect to employ proper full backs.

But then I am talking rubbish, so what do I know.

I agree bacuna a positioning was poor but Vlaar as captain and the main organiser of the defence would maybe have had a word with him - Vlaar is a massive player in this team this season and we miss his influence at the back , we would not have been as poor on Sunday or at st Mary's 2nd half had Vlaar been playing.

The one thing I really hate is southern reds trying to do a Manx accent. With a dodgy haircut and the arrogant faux oasis waddle.

If anyone was targeted out on Sunday, for me it was Herd and Clark. The number of times Fulham broke through the centre of our defence in the first half was ridiculous. Vlaar not being there didn't help but it also wasn't helped by not playing Baker where he should have been played. I didn't see the point of making an already depleted defence worse by playing people out of position.

I agree, we were all over the place at times defensively and Fulham also were able to get crosses in far too easily from both flanks.

Playing Herd CB was a ridiculous call. Cost us the game IMHO.

I thought he was committed and tried his best , there were several players far worse than him - bacuna, Westwood and Weimann for starters.
