In the last 18 years, we've had many much better sides than the current one and they've all failed to beat them at home. Since 95, won 1 drawn 9 lost 25 in the league, not to mention all the cup defeats. A dreadful record and I can't see us bucking the trend.
And I managed to miss the one win.
No wonder the posts aren't showing any confidence. It's the times when we were 2-0 up that still haunt me.........

If ever a team needs a pick-me up to get their season going again, it's a game against the Villa.

I predict a shit game and a 1-0 defeat.

I pretty much write this fixture off at the start of every season now.

The only upside is it gives us an insight to the pain Coventry fans went through when they hadnt beaten us at home in 120 years (or whatever it was).

I think it will be similar to the Everton match in that we will match them for an hour, but our lack of experience will cause costly mistakes & there will be no-one to bring off the bench.

Afraid I have massive worries about this one .....they are due to give someone a right old tonking ...... and I fear it could well be us on Sunday.

The way to get something from this would be to go and attack them but I fear we will pack the midfield and hope for a point

Yes I know I sound very negative but just being very honest

For us to get a result we need out strikers to actually turn up on sunday all at once. If they do then they will certainly trouble United's back 4. I think Weimann will be taken out anyway and we'll go with a front two of Gabby and Benteke.

I think Delph and probably Vlaar will be big misses. We really need both in there.

Annoying as this is a great time to play them. 1-2 United.

Benteke will suddenly realise he's playing shit and go on one.
He'll either score 3 or get sent off for head-butting one of their subs warming up, Moyes and the ref!
Ever the optimist, me!

I truly despise them and would love to beat that hateful club, but the truth is we are moving up from being relegation candidates to midtable wobblers. Their squad is so much more expensive than ours it is hard to see how we get anything from it.

My only ask is that we play like we actually give a shit, unlike against Fulham.

Whose squad was more expensive, Man Utd or City?  I wouldn't rule out anything but I certainly would put any money on it.

City is and yes we beat them. Of course I hope we can do the same against Man United. I think it is fair to say though that ot beat any of the expensive teams we need a bit of luck, I just dont think we can count on that.

We will have 4 or 5 chances in the match.  Take them and we take the prize.

I don't think we're playing well enough or confidently enough to give these a game.

Teams like Manure are above adapting their style of play to negate our strengths (see Citeh); compare with Hull and Fulham who successfully adapted when playing at home.

Therefore, I think we will score and have a few good periods of play. At the same time, so will they, and they will score more.

No chance. They won't lose three league games in a row. I've also seen little evidence in our last few games that suggest we can beat them. 0-3.
