Without Delph, and as pants as their midfield has been, I fear our defence will have little cover...not very confident I am sorry to say.

We can stick the knife in at the weekend. I honestly don't think we should fear them. Just go out from the first whistle and attack these twats. We have the firepower up front. Defence is a bit of a worry but so what.

Guzan

Lowton - Baker - Clark - ?

Bacuna - Sylla - Westwood

Weimann - Kozak - Gabby

We will field a decent team and we will beat these twats.

Not a prayer with that line up - we would get hammered.

They can't stay God awful forever, much as it would be nice. Utd generally love playing us, so I'm sadly expecting the inevitable.

0-2 Shrek, RVP.

We'll manage about 2 shots on target.

I'd play a left back for starters. ;)

I fear we will be on the receiving end of a beating but on the other hand I am missing this one as I have been three line whipped to a family pre-Christmas get-together, which must make it a nailed on certainty that it will be a famous home win.

                 Guzan

Lowton.  Clark.   Herd.    Baker.  Bacuna

        Kea. Westwood.  Sylla

            Benteke.  Gabby

Not ideal , but if Vlaar , Delph, luna are unavailable not a great. deal of options .
I certainly would bring Lowton back in , play a 5-3-2 and drop Weimann .

Play like we did on Sunday and I fear our heaviest home defeat of the season.  In all honesty even with Vlaar and Delph a draw would be the most we could hope for.  I'm not at all looking forward to it.  I've never said that about this fixture in the past.

They've got some incredibly average players - Cleverley, Evans, Jones, Smalling - and while Sralex could squeeze the pips out of them they're now showing their real lack of quality. According to Physioroom they've also got injuries to Evra, Vidic, Smalling, Kagawa, Fellatio and Carrick. Moyes is still in Everton manager mode - hence pursuing the likes of Fellaini rather than a Christian Ronaldo or Sneijder. They're not playing well and the fans are on Moyes' back. So there probably isn't a better time to play them. But...

..No Delph in our weak midfield, and even with injuries they can still supplement their midfield with the likes of Nani, Anderson, Old man Giggs, Valencia, 'teen sensation' Januzaj and that chap that keeps falling over. No Vlaar in our at times comical defence and up front they can perm 2 from Rooney, Van Persie, Welbeck and Hernandez.

Sorry but I fear Moyes and his players will see us as a real opportunity to start playing again and we'll get a sound beating, with their 'fans' invading the pitch and letting off flares and smoke bombs with no fear of any action being taken against them. At least we haven't got Friend or Dowd as ref

I've been pretty optimistic against the big teams, but I really think we will lose by at least 3 this Sunday. We are playing woeful football, and give players like Rooney and RVP a share of 70% possession of the ball and they will tear us a new one. Especially without Vlaar and Delph.

I believe they will tear us apart Sunday, especially without Vlaar and Delph.

The upside of the loss will be a wake-up call to Lambert on our style of play and we become entertaining once more through the festive season.

I don't care how we do it but I just want to win this one.  They can have 98% possession and batter us all day long if only we can score the winner with a fluky goal in the 98th minute of Fergie time.

Pretty much. I hate United and their "fans" soooooo much.

You really think he can't see our problems?

I'm pretty sure we'll lose this match, which is fine I suppose, but imagine if we won - Moyes would probably be sacked (the Villa curse has accounted for Bobby Robson and Mourinho Mk I, greater managers than him). We could definitely get a draw though, I think, but it would have to be a high-scorer. However, we will probably lose because Delph is out, so that's pretty much it.
