Weimann has been truly awful today.

That is far, far too kind.

Much of the issue in midfield is the lack of options up top. Gabby is too central, Weimann never seems to have a position. 4-3-3 should have 2 wide forwards, who can beat players and get in behind to supply the big man.

This is shite as was Soton to be fair but in that match we managed to get goals on the break.

Lambert's post match will be interesting. He's become a master at spin, and dramatic draws and wins help. But when you lose in the much the same manner as the games won without the help of those goals, well it's like walking naked in the street on a cold day trying to convince everyone you're fully dressed and warm.

Can see us getting sucked into a relegation battle.

That's a tad dramatic isn't it?

I can imagine it happening if we continue playing this poorly for an extended length of time.

Doesn't that apply to every team? I imagine Man U fans are thinking the same thing. We could win next weekend against a team who have been playing as poorly as us in recent weeks.

No, because it depends how poorly you are playing to start with.

I'd also bet everything I own that Man U fans aren't thinking anything like the same thing. They're not going to get sucked into a relegation battle. If we carry on with this sort of level of performance for too much longer, we will be.

What I do know is we need to start putting together some much improved performances, and soon.

There's no movement, no passing, no ball retention, and far too much hopeful lumping in recent weeks. We've got away with it to an extent, but we've been found out today by a side that has lost its last fourteen thousand matches.

Delph okay.
Guzan okay.
Herd okay.

The rest have been astonishingly shite. Oh well, easy game next week.
