Lambert tends to see Herd as a centre back. It looks like 4-3-3 too so the only question is whether it's Clark or Baker at left back. I hope he goes with Clark at centre back.

Herd at the back is a penalty waiting to happen. Who's the ref?

Poor Lowton. Should be in I think. I  thought Clark would be captain.

Maybe. Who's at left back? Bacuna? I'd have thought Lowton would get the nod at right back ahead of herd, poor form or not

I don't know if I love the fact that even though we know the starting 11 we aren't sure of formation. Or if it terrifies me!

That's my only fear too, CJ. Herd gives his all but a full on tackle in the box is not beyond him.

Early villa goal would really rock them as they are low on confidence after losing 6 in a row .

Bring it on kids.

It may be my pre-match optimism but I feel a lot more confident the kids will do us proud today. They've matured a lot over the last 12 months.

Bit weird that Libor's nowhere to be found, he must have picked up an injury mid-week. I'm relieved that Bent's missing from the Fulham team as well, you just know he would have scored - especially with that unconvincing back four.

Come on the Villa!

In an attempt to bring us luck i'm going to follow the game on here only. So when we win, you can all thank me. If we lose, it's your fault for believing such superstitious guff.

If we draw?

reckon herd is in at centre back. wouldnt like to see delph moved

this is the way I see us lining up.

--------guzan
bacuna, herd, baker, clark
kea, westwood, delph
weimann, benteke, gabby

to be honest that is a very poor fulham side. must be the oldest midfield in the league.

the swedish kid has the makings of a fine player, could cause us problems.

if benteke and gabby play well we should win comfortably.

4-2 to the villa
