That back 4 makes me nervous!  I feel we may need to score at least 3 to win...

Chris Herd? Even when Lowton is available? Strange one.

I'd have gone for the same attack and midfield but I will be interested to see how the back 4 line up - herd getting the nod ahead of Lowton is a surprise to me , but lets hope he takes his chance.

Great to see Herd back, if only to piss off PaulWingeAgain.
More seriously, I'm not sure where Lambert plans to play him, unless it's in central defence with Baker going to left back. Strange selection but one thing about Herd, he never lets us down. I just hope he's careful with his tackling inside the box.

Less of the snide digs please.

I kinda like Herds commitment....when he has played the 2-3 occasions at full back he looked pretty decent.

@MatKendrick: No place for Libor Kozak in the matchday squad - can only presume he is injured. Will try to find out #avfc

With that starting 11 I really doubt today will be 0-0.

The fact herd is in for Lowton suggests to me he'll be part of a back three. Otherwise it really is a vote of no confidence in Lowton. Lambert seems to see herd as a bit of a last resort

Delph could be wasted at lwb, if that's where he's playing.

In an attempt to bring us luck i'm going to follow the game on here only. So when we win, you can all thank me. If we lose, it's your fault for believing such superstitious guff.

Just teasing, PWS. Paul will know what I mean. You should be pulling me up on my spelling, I spelt incorrectly 'whinge'.

I can't see Delph starting at left back - I think its a 4-3-3
