Just looked at the select-a-seat and it looks very close to a sell out. Can't be more than 50-100 seats left.
Don't fall for that trick. I expect swathes of empty seats in the Upper Trinity. I have counted the spare seats on there before, only to end up 2000 out.
I'll second that Jon. Every seat shown as sold, but attendance was just over 41000.
The "hospitality" factor kicks in - companies are given tickets then the twats they give them out to decide they'd rather go shopping and have a frappydappydingdong coffee instead - cos that's what cool people do. "Could've gone to a big game today, but f**k it, I had to test some new moisturiser; ffs I'm not gonna ruin my personal grooming regime just cos some line manager wants me to bond!"
We're part of the "tick list" mentality of society I'm afraid!
"real" fans only make up 75% of the crowd - the rest are tourists.
