We're gifting them so much room to get decent crosses in. Appalling lack of closing down

Would either goal have gone in with Vlaar out there?
IMO no.

Clark has been excellent because Vlaars been in good form too. Take Vlaar out and suddenly Clakky has to be the one to start worrying about everyone else. He has to be fully concentrated on what he's doing. I don't think he was necessarily at fault for the second. Could have done better, but I do worry if Vlaar is out for any considerable amount of time. He's upped his game this season, and been commanding, also keeping Clark in check too.

They attack, cross in and have 4 in the box, we do the same and cross to an empty box.  What a bunch of ******.

That was nearly the third, awful defending.

Shocking marking - no one taking responsibility or organising.

Could be worse. We could be Norwich.

The fullbacks are atrocious, but they're getting no help either. We're playing 5 at the back, you'd think we'd be able to defend width, but when they spread it we're wide open.

Whilst this is not good we are a better outfit than last year, mind you that's not hard...
