Is now the time to mention we were 1-0 up at HT last season?

Not really, no.

Can't believe we're 0-1 up after all their possession and territory.

I'm not a man to be fixated with stats. But 30% possession and 46% pass completion sounds absolutely appalling. 46%!!

Er, 23 percent possession.

What's the fuss about Rodriguez? He's a bit average. Are England really that desperate?

If he scores, I'm not accepting responsibility.
Yes England are that bad. But Rodriguez is a genius who will score a hat trick tonight . Too good for England.

Strong defensively, well taken goal.
What to make of that? We are winning so it seems unfair to criticise..

Are we boring? Yes, we are....in the midfield area. Not good enough...

But we're winning

Incredible first half, Southampton don't look on it in the final third. We don't look on it at all, we are definitely not a footballing side.

Pathetic but we're winning. Surely we can't last another 45 like that?

Relegation rivals all losing too which is encouraging ;-)

Where was the support for Kozak there? Bloody hell. Our movement and passing has been dire again. It's basic stuff and we look embarrassingly bad at times.
That said the one stat that matters is the scoreline, which is in our favour (inexplicably).

I'd be tempted to change to a 4-5-1 and bring on Tonev and Weimann. Play them either side of Gabby. I'd take off Baker and Kozak. I don't think we need 5 at the back. For all their possession they've not threatened much and they look susceptable to pace. I'd slap a quick front 3 against them and we can get more joy on the break.

good to see gabby among the goals. took it around the last defender well.

Clark has been outstanding. Guzan made a brilliant save from Rodriguez.

Apart from that our efforts to play "football" have been shameful

And that's precisely it.
We can't let them have the possession and freedom of the park that they have had upto now.
Gabby needs help with someone to hold the ball up, Kozak is not that man.
