next 3 I think we should beat Fulham but I think we'll draw the next 2, which would be 9 points from the 5 which I'd be pretty happy with.  I'd love a little run of wins here though and I don't think it's totally unrealistic to think we could win all 3 of them.

So then, two down and four points gained.

3 games left of the 5 named in the OP.

Fulham (A)
Man U (H)
Stoke (A)

I'd have said 4 so far, but got the results the other way round (win vs Sunderland, draw vs Southampton).

I think we can win against Fulham but we have to go out all guns blazing and not let them score first then end up chasing the game like we do so often.

Man U, depends on their players and who is out but you get the feeling they might be there for the taking. We can't fail to win at home against them every year.

Stoke away, don't see anything to worry about. They are shit.

An optimistic two wins from those three games I reckon. Wouldn't like to say which ones we'll win.
Hmm. Remind me not to ask you for the lottery numbers Smirker.

I'm going for 4 points. A win and a draw, which could come from any of the following five matches. Such is our season so far...

2 points.

If it is, we will be bang in trouble by the end of it going into the home game with Albion at the end of Jan. That would be 22 played, 21 points. I certainly hope not.

5 points, think we'll nick a draw against Arsenal aswell as 4 points from the next two. Nowt at Anfield this season and given how Sunderland palyed at VP I have a feeling they'll beat us if Benteke and Vlaar are still missing.

Typical if we pick up at home our away form will go to pieces. I guess that's why we're mid table and staying there.

I'm thinking point against Palace and Sunderland. Think we'll lose the other 3.
If we improve slightly, then I'd say the points become wins, and the Swansea game becomes a draw.
But the way we're playing at the moment I don't see where the next win comes from. If we were playing Palace away I'd fancy the win a bit more.

Which is why we have to change tactics at VP. I know we will be over-run through the middle, but Kozak and Gabby look a pair that could work together for me. Bacuna in front of Lowton to give him some support on the right, Albrighton in front of Luna to support him down the left and tell Gabby to drop into the middle without the ball. Delph and Westwood in the middle and at least try a different method of playing.

I wouldn't mind being rolled-over by Pool and the Arse if it mean three wins or even two and one draw from the three before.

Why is the return game with Sunderland so soon? Does the fixtures computer just like to have a laugh?
It's interesting that in Spain and Italy the sequence of games is linear - game 1 corresponds with game 20, game 19 with 38 etc.

Palace 1-1 draw
Swansea 1-2 defeat
Sunderland 0-2 defeat
Arsenal  0-3 defeat
Liverpool 0-3 defeat

Wish I hadn't bothered now :(
