We are odds against with a couple of firms tomorrow.

I don't know whether to be happy that that's good betting value, or depressed that we are odds against versus a relegation fodder side at home.

Behave. "How did we sink so low?" was sooo last season.

A 3-1 victory for the boys in claret and blue. Hat trick for Stan Lynn!  Archie 'Cannonball' Fleming replies for them.

and it rains and rains and rains.

Only just odds against, though.

To be honest, I am not surprised. Look at our home record. We might have beaten Cardiff, but that's one game in a pretty long unimpressive run. I'm not surprised people bet against us at home.

Our home record is stellar when put against their away record.

I'm pretty pleased on reflection. It does look good value, provided the starting line up is more like the last 30 from Monday, than the first 60.

Going by what happened with Cardiff I reckon it'll be tetchy.  They'll be set up to nullify us and breaking them down will be a struggle, again.  Fortunately Villa have shown they do have the resolve to keep going so hopefully a breakthrough will come.

They will no doubt come to stifle us and hope to grab a goal on the break. To counter this we need to get out of the blocks right from the start and get stuck into them, not do our usual by playing casually in our own half of the pitch thus allowing them to gain confidence and composure. If we can score early it will raise the crowd and mean they will have to change tactics and come out which will give us more room to get at their defence.

Win and we hit 18 points and will be looking very comfortable.

Indeed onwards and upwards , I have a feeling jol may get the bullet after tomorrow but I hope he survives another week so we avoid the new manager effect on Fulham .
A win tomorrow will set us up nicely in the top 10 hopefully and we can build from a solid platform.

Barring a complete and utter balls up we should win this one.
I'll go for 2-1 seeing as we don't usually make thing easy.
Benteke & Westwood for us.

It will either be a pretty comfort win or a spawny away win. A bit like the time they hadn't won away for years and had that 1-0 win here when Pubey was in charge.
