Tonev has natural ability, and even though he is totally erratic at the moment, I think he will become a very good player. Albrighton has a lot to do prove he is worth a shout. But we need width and I hope he can do enough to get back on the bench at least .....

Hopefully we win, i would probably expect that, really hope to see us pass and retain the ball better. Benteke must be odds-on to get on that scoresheet. Weimann and Gabby surely must also be due. Could be another big score, dont think Poyet will be there long either.

@MatKendrick: Neil Swarbrick will referee Villa v Sunderland on Saturday and Jon Moss will referee Southampton v Villa next Wednesday #avfc

Wasn't he the drummer in Culture Club?

Yes, god knows how he managed to become a ref, it's a miracle.

Interesting how Ashley Young goes about his business when Moss is reffing. Does he think, I'll tumble 4 ya?

I will be there on Saturday and logically the Mackems' bad form and bad luck will continue and improving Villa will easily get their first back-to-back home wins since National Service ended. Or whenever. Otherwise, all of their good fortune will arrive at once and a novice ref, a defensive error and a breakaway goal will do us in.

Lets hope we are not the latest 'victims' of refereeing howlers.

Will he give us (added) 'time' if we are behind in the last minute.

I'd go with:

Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Luna, Bacuna, Westwood, Delph, Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor.
4 - 3 - 3.

But KEA will probably be in there, especially after he scored on Monday.  So Lowton will be on the bench and Bacuna will start as right back again (I reckon).

                Guzan
   Lowton Vlaar Clark Luna
            Westwood
      Bacuna        Delph
Weimann                   Agbonlahor
                Benteke

Would be my team, but, as above I think he'll play Bacuna RB and KEA in the middle so Lowton will stay on the bench for now.

Saturday 30.11.13 3pm KO

Next up is Sunderland on Saturday; so far Villa haven’t had a worse scoreline in any game than in the corresponding fixture last season. I’ll be very surprised, and delighted, if we can still be saying that this time next week.

Do I go to this considering the events surrounding last season...

2-0 home win

Benteke 21
Delph 56

My brother didn't go either, so I'm thinking of banning him from the ground....

We should be able to beat this bunch of old cloggers.

Goal apart i thought EAH stunk the place out on Monday night

I just do not see what he does

Non existent in the air
Not a passer of the ball
No vision
Jockey's rather than tackles
Never holds a particular position

Delph / Westwood

And then a mix of : Bacuna / Herd / Sylla / Albrighton / Gardener / Tonev

Albrighton is better than Tonev.

As always it's a matter of opinion. The Albrighton of recent times was not the Albrighton who looked so promising early in his career and IMO, there's not alot to choose between them overall.
