Villa 6-2 Everton 1989 Full coverage
« on: November 24, 2013, 10:29:12 AM »

The entire day as covered by ITV back in 89. Happy days. Elton Welsby, Andy Gray, Brian Moore etc. Great shots of the old Villa Park, love the one at 1hr 41 taken using that old bug eye lens that you don't see so much of these days.

Check out the rest of this guys videos. Amazing.

I love the way they used the fight music from Rocky IV as the intro music

Same here, I still have the tape packed away somewhere, I could virtually recite the commentary.

I remember watching it on T.V, I was 14 and eating those pizzas that were in the shape of feet.
Gutted when we conceded 2 late ones.

Same here, I  must have driven my parents mad with the amount of times I watched it again.

What a game! I remember Uncle Baz coming round, sitting on the sofa and asking the score.

'2-0', we said.

'Ah, two down already, eh.'

You can imagine the rest.

My mate was having marital trouble at the time.

He came home from the match, walked straight into the lounge and started re-winding the tape. His Mrs threatened to leave him and go to her mothers if he sat and watched the whole thing again.

By the time we scored the first goal she was packing her suitcase.....

I had just moved back to Shirley from the Cotswolds and decided to go to this game and stood on the Holte end. What a game to pick!

I can remember a couple of lads on the train working out where Villa would be if they won by however many goals on the way to the game. I also remember having a lot of space around me on The Holte and the 'Keown, Keown what's the score?' chant.
