We usually drove to away games but after a couple of nightmares trying to park around Highbury we got the coach for this one. It was a good atmosphere on the way back, helped if I remember correctly by Small Heath turning a 4-1 scoreline against Swindon into a 4-6 defeat. Wasn't it on an Easter Monday?

I went to that one. That was the season they had that mural behind the goal at the other end. We had a little bit of terracing in the corner.

It was around the time they were playing Sheffield Wednesday in two cup finals and I seem to remember we taught them a few songs about Beelzebub.

Correct.

I went to the game on my own (to get away from the in laws) in the Arse end (not north bank as it was being rebuilt.) Remember the Arse fans saying at the end that they hoped we won the league and pipped Man U. How times have changed
