There's no need to even think about playing him this season. Far better to nurse him back and get a pre-season under his belt then go for it in August. We're not desperate in the grand scheme of things so why risk him breaking down for the sake of a few meaningless games?

I also agree. As long as Vlaar stays fit central defence isn't really the problem with this team.
The other thing to remember is when you're out for this amount of time with a cruciate injury it can take ages to get back up to speed (for example Delph needed something like 6 months of regular playing time before he really came into form last season) so its really important we don't write Okore off if it takes a while for him to make an impact.

Okore likely to play before end of season according to PL. Maybe early April, which would be great....I think he will be a star for us.

Good news. I'm more than sure that our medical team are not trying to rush him back, that would be ridiculous. We know that Okore wants to play that's why he didn't go to Chelsea. Get him back and create some real competition at the back.

just seen on the Official site that Jores is back in the open air running, twisting and turning so let's hope he gets back to full fitness as soon as possible.
be great if fully fit to see him playing at the last game of the season when nothing should depend on it.

A few sub appearances would be about right I reckon. Don't put any pressure on him, just let him ease himself back in so that he's ready to go next season.

I'm not really concerned about this and trust the medial staff and Lambert on it. If he's fit, he can play. If he's not, then he won't. Without any real pressure on us now there's no chance of trying to rush him back, so we can relax about it.

Has ruled himself out of a return to action this season:
"It's about next season for me now," Okore told the Birmingham Mail.
"I am looking forward to that. I can't wait. It can't come quick enough. It will be next season when I get my big chance again to prove myself. I want to show what I can do.
"The manager has been very supportive with me. He bought me, he showed great faith in me and now I want to repay him.
"He bought for me a reason - he must have believed in my ability. I will prove he was right!"

as much as we all would have loved to have seen him this season I think this is the best case scenario. No need to rush him back. I absolutely love his enthusiasm.

I trusted that they would be sensible and tailor his recovery programme according to his rate of recovery. If they think he's not going to be ready to be involved in the last few games, then fair enough and I'll look forward to him being a regular next season.

There's absolutely no point in rushing and potentially putting his recovery back 6 months or a year, because that's what we're talking with this sort of injury.
