A lot of their fans did - and they were on here because of him. If you want another club's fans coming on here slagging us then fine but don't expect me to treat them with anything but contempt.

To  be fair I could live with almost everything he put on here but the "we'll take great delight in watching you fail" is over-stepping the line for me, that's bordering on trolling/wumming and was always going to incite a reaction from some people, remove that paragraph/sentence and I don't think he did anything wrong on here.  Linking back to their forum where he posted a fair bit of shit about us which is pretty simple to spot is a bit silly as well.

I personally don't care enough to be upset by it but if I was a mod on here I'd have pm'd him after that comment asking him to avoid comments like that.

I'm quite pleased that recent encounters with West Brom have resulted in me detesting them again, as I used to in the 70's & 80's.
Not as much as I detest Small Heath though.

I've never considered games against Stoke, Forest, Leicester etc to be "derbys"

And Cov is stretching it a bit for me.

Notts county and derby too in the 70s/80s.

In the title winning 80/81 season we played 14 games against Midlands sides, winning 11 and drawing 3.
So just 3 points dropped in that third of the season.

Me neither, we'll be including any club that was ever the home team on Star Soccer if we go down that route. Mind you, now I come to think of it I fucking hate Oxford.

They even stretched it to Swindon at times if I remember rightly. Veering even further off topic, for a while in the early/mid seventies when Cloughie's Derby were riding high, the (West Midlands) Sports Argus included them in their reports etc.

As for that line about wanting to see us fail. I don't think it's anything you wouldn't just naturally assume your average Baggies fan would think. It's not surprising in the least. At least for me it didn't rile me up at all. I wouldn't go as far as contempt certainly. Just total indifference. I don't think he was being abusive in anyway. He had been somewhat goaded himself too in fairness.

As for some of the other idiots that appeared, some of whom pretending to be Villa fans, that was just a couple of people being childish and playing silly sods. Sweep em out, move on, job done.

Order will be restored this season and then we'll barely hear a peep from them all summer.

Agreed, he seemed harmless enough, Dixie was a bit more confrontational but I didn't see it as more than banter to be honest - we have had worse visitors on here down the years .

Amen.

Do you know why it gets on the tits of some of us though, Supertom?

It is because we have to listen to that same shite on a weekly basis and in many cases have had to for years on end.

They tend to be great at trying to play nicely but cannot ultimately help in slipping into every stereotype cited.

They are a poxy, small time, irritating bunch of fucktards and the level of bile they can spill forth can drive you up the wall.

Certainly not. When we finish above them at the end of the season you'll hear more noise in space than you will in West Brom.
They've been living la vida loca for two seasons and let it go to their head. Honestly they reckon we rub trophies in their faces, but they finish above us a couple of season running and you'd think they were Barca-fucking-lona.
