Hello dears,

Thought I'd pop in to see how you are all getting along.

Quick question, has Randy got any money left after his missus scuppered him for it? Just thinking that might be the usual tactic of a missus who's chap tends to sway to the Burgundy and Cyan - don't blame her either.

It took you three hours to think of that?

Funnily enough no, it came to me spontaneously when I decided to have a chat with you folk.

They know our chairmans marital status. Now that's obsession for you.

The only thing I know about theirs is that he looks like Les, from Vic Reeves Big Night Out, and he doesn't believe in buying footballers.

When I lived in The Canary Islands there was a certain time each year when, seemingly out of nowhere, we would be inundated with cockroaches. The closer up you encounter them the uglier you realise they really are.

I personally feel sorry for the cockroaches having to negotiate around you.

How incredibly boring and small time. I don't think I've come across a more immature cub in my life.

You would take the cockroaches side, blood is thicker than water and all that.

I know nothing of theirs. I know they had some chap that went onto the England set up. To be honest I don't know too many of their players either

I think you'll find its common knowledge from business pages world wide circa 2010.

I tend to think our chairman looks like Dr Evil - which is much better than a dumb looking cash strapped yank.

The first Villa-Baggies game I attended was the FA Cup tie in 1998 (a 4-0 win to Villa, fact fans) and me and my sister caught the train to Witton from Walsall. At Tame Bridge Parkway, the train was inundated with Baggies fans. Me and my sis thought we were in for a serious something due to sheer weight of numbers, but two blokes leaned across to us and said 'Doh worry, we doh 'ate Villa. It's the fuckin' Wolves we'm cor stand.'

Then one of them leaned out of the window at Perry Barr and yelled at a middle-aged Chinese woman waiting on the platform, 'No chicken flu on train.'

I thought this lot only came out of the woodwork when they were doing well ?  not just sitting in midtable and just above us on goal difference...

That must be why he thinks all transfer deals can only be conducted for a million dollars or less.

I do love how a billionaire with a family fortune running into eleven figures can be described as "cash strapped".

A dumb looking cash-strapped yank, do you mean the guy that sold his share in the Cleveland Browns for $1bn(ish) earlier in the year, west brom must be very affluent place if that's cash strapped.  Of course not that our owners wealth or marital status really matters.

Our spending seems to be an odd thing for you to blat on about anyway, if we're cutting back and have no money surely you should be pretty embarrassed that we level on points with you, especially with your superior squad and seemingly potent spending.  Are you proud that you paid nearly as much for Anichebe as we did Benteke?

And even last summer, when we were supposedly scrabbling down the back of the settee for change for the meter, we spent more on a reserve than they did on their record signing.
