It strikes me this is just the internet warrior equivalent of attempting to 'take' our end. It looks about as successful, too.

Oh the irony of Albion fans bringing up the subject of singing during a minutes silence. They've conveniantly forgotten about their fans singing at Swansea during the silence for the Welsh miners who died. I seem to recall the club even had to issue an apology after they were rightly condemned throught the football world.

In fairness to ourselves, that minutes silence was totally spontaneous. We were actually totally unaware of any minutes silence and I myself was guilty for singing on the concourse. When I left the concourse I like many others realised what was happening and ushered the others to shut up and we soon did. It's totally different to the remembrance weekend where a minutes silence is always guaranteed. Not that I'm having a dig at Villa because I know how easy it is too lose track of time when you're participating in the singing underneath the ground and then suddenly the whole world is against you with their 'hollier than thou' attitude.

We didn't play West Ham on Armistace Day, it was 9 days before.

to be fair Liam it was the 2nd of November....hardly Rememberance weekend.  it was just one of those unfortunate with circumstance things.

good luck for the season watching your team, apart from when you play the Villa. :)

I know, but it was West Ham's last home game prior to Armistace Day.

As I said, it wasn't a criticism of your support. I actually defended your supporters as it's easy for folk to make out they are hollier than thou in that situation.

Dr Butler, above my posts sums it up very well when he says an unfortunate circumstance - something which both our actions at Swansea and yours at West Ham were.

Liam thanks for original post. Keep some of those 13 year olds from your lot pretending to be Villa fans in check. Not even half term. The little rascals.

As for minutes silences. Both. No apology necessary if didn't know it was going to happen.

I like it when we get opposition fans come on and make sensible posts.
When it's just villa fans it's sometimes difficult to get an alternative perspective.

There is no way we should lose this game. No way on Earth.

Having said that, the thought of them turning us over is too much for me to comprehend. I loathe how much better than us they have become over the last couple of years. I remember the days when this was the big midlands derby. Small Heath and Wolves were miniscule, and this was the big 'un. For so many years I laughed at how they went to the shit tip in the doldrums of lower league football, whilst we sat pretty in the top flight. I mean come on, we've been in the Premier League since its conception. Where were they in the league?

If we attack early and then sit back and stay tight, we should be able to seal the win, m'lord. But I do fear their attacking prowess. That Berahino chap is the new Defoe. Sessegnon is a worldy of a player. That chap who scored at Old Trafford is a ridiculously good winger.

This won't be easy chaps. Be afraid. VERY afraid.

Come back to us when you figure out subtlety and manage to swap it for that great big crowbar you have used there.

Have they all wagged off school today in an attempt to contact intelligent life? Obviously apologies to them if it is a bona fide insert day.

I'm not sure it's been mentioned but one of the most interesting things that defines the rivalry was a couple of years ago. It was the last day of the season and the albion needed a result in their game to stay up... when the news filtered through to Villa Park that they hadn't got relegated there was an audible cheer that they'd stayed up... Compare this to the hilarity that greeted the last relegation of small heath.

Hello dears,

Thought I'd pop in to see how you are all getting along.

Quick question, has Randy got any money left after his missus scuppered him for it? Just thinking that might be the usual tactic of a missus who's chap tends to sway to the Burgundy and Cyan - don't blame her either.

Is this the same lunatic re-registering over and over again, or multiple ip addresses etc?

When I lived in The Canary Islands there was a certain time each year when, seemingly out of nowhere, we would be inundated with cockroaches. The closer up you encounter them the uglier you realise they really are.

No to all of them.
