I'm sure Ronaldo used to shoot like Tonev when he first went to old trafford.

He's no lady boy though

We started so brightly but after about 20-25 minutes we just looked like we'd totally run out of ideas.  Either Lambert needs to adapt his formula to suit the players he has bought or he needs to buy better players.

Cardiff have been knocking it around reasonably well without creating anything major but I'd say they're looking more likely than us at the moment.

Even the boos were muted. It's not terrible, it's not abysmal, it's not that they aren't trying or even that they're openly defensive - it's just relentlessly uninspiring.

Bang on.

I am as patient as the next man, but giving Cardiff City 60% possession at home is not a sign of good things happening any time soon.

The midfield looks like a lower championship sides. He must have been fucking mental to sign Kozakscarino instead of a midfielders. There's literally hundreds who are better than the plodders we have at the moment.

Not much excitement Tonev needs to sort out his final ball shoots too often and crossing is poor.

Boo's at half time , the honeymoon is well and truly over for Lambert

Yep it's simply not good enough.

I don't know, not really an exact comparison - that's like asking if Joe Root is better than the Gulf Stream.

If Tonev hadn't looked like he was aiming to clear the North Stand with that shot there may not have been boos at the interval.

I'd love to know what tactics Lambert tells the players because I haven't got a clue how to explain the way we play other than disjointed and rushed.
