Great pressing that.

4-4-2 is the way to go.

As long as all four midfielders are in the middle.

As a diamond yes but when Gabby is back he could play on the left of a 4 in mid and Tonev could play right.

I would sooner have 2 genuine wide players though!

I think the only reason we're playing well is because we have a compact centre, so our limited midfielders at least have options close by.

In a 4-4-2 I would sooner have Gabby running the channels as a striker and have wide options better than Tonev

Stop the cross coming in lazy wanker. Why do our fullbacks just stick a limp leg out.

We look shaky at the back - I think we may need 3 to win but can see us getting a 3-2 result.

Indeed.

Overall I've been much more impressed by Baker. Both are good though, and useful members of the team. I think Baker is stronger and less prone to error though. Not much in it, mind.

I just don't think there's any way we could possibly play the outright 4-4-2 with wide players. If we want width it's 4-3-3 or nothing.
