Awful side. Must be the slowest in the league history!!! No pace at all aside from Benteke. I would have been tempted to stick Robinson in just for his pace and he looks a talent.

I guess we can bring him on if we need an injection of pace.

Would have been better than going with kea, Westwood and sylla - too negative in midfield .

It does look a pretty terrible side I must say. Not much width OR creativity, apart from the somewhat erratic Tonev.

This isn't going to be one for the purists.

Let's hope we're all wrong and the midfield allows us to get hold of the ball, with Tonev and Bacuna providing the bullets for the front two.

I suspect that may be wishful thinking and the match thread will not a pleasant place be.

To be fair Tonev's pretty quick and Sylla's not a slouch. The other two are barely mobile, though.

We really need to win this game, and it's time that Westwood and KEA in particular actually did something.

Another surprising selection and an odd-looking team. Is Lambo's head getting in a muddle?

Would much rather have pushed bacuna into midfield and played Lowton leaving out kea - lack of width and creativity is disappointing.

Should be one or the other at home - both too similar and negative to play together in the same side at home for me.

Completely agree. Bacuna on the right and Tonev left, possibly Helenius ahead of Kozak.

Let's hope we're all wrong though

We are desperate for a couple of player in January. Both attack minded, both quick, and able to make a big difference pace wise. The way we are set up we rely on it, and Gabby is the biggest weapon we have.

More like injuries to our key players are depriving us at the minute. No Gabby, no Delph, as soon as Benteke gets back they get injured so we never have a fully-fit team, no Weimann who, while out of form, has come alive for good spells in many games this season, no Luna or even Bennett eliminating our natural overlap on the left - it's fairly unlucky.

Maybe , but he still had option of bacuna in midfield and Lowton at right back rather than the pedestrian midfield he has chosen.

Bellamy and odemwingie will be dangerous on the break.

God, what a dire team and a strange selection, 0-0 or 1-0 either way written all over it as was the case last week
