I can't say that I recall the incident where Tony Morley broke Peter Daniels leg as referred to early in the clip which is why he was getting booed.

I remember not feeling well before the game, getting soaked through and spending 3 days having IV antibiotics in hospital with pneumonia afterwards. How good were Withe & Shaw though?

You see that isn't true. I used to stand right down the front of The Holte behind the goal as a kid and there was all sorts going on in the box. Defenders standing on a strikers foot so he couldn't jump was a good one, as was raking your studs down the back of an opponents leg as the ball came in. Plenty of shirt pulling too.
 What you didn't have back then was endless close-up replays on telly telling us how disgusting it all was so only us budding child defenders studied how our heroes did it from the terraces!

Maybe you're right, but in those days it was a man's game. But I'm sure there wasn't the shirt pulling then that there is now, in those days retaliation was acceptable & any silly business would end up in a punch up. I had 7 years as a full back in a successful junior team & there was zero tolerance from the referees.

Oh yes, if you got caught you were in trouble, but as a centre-half myself i got away with all sorts, much of it blatant cheating!
I once played with a bloke whose trick-in-trade was to stick his thumb up the backside of the player he was marking, but he was a bit strange.

I worked in Wolvo in the '70's and 80's and often used to go to the Villa fixture at the Mol with all my Wolves supporting colleagues. Apart from when I had a pint thrown over me in the stand (pissed up Wolves supporter was quickly ejected by stewards) I don't recall undue animosity from the home fans, although I personally didn't advertise the fact that I was a Villa supporter, but generally I never saw anything overtly outrageous towards the Villa from their fans in those days.

Really enjoyed seeing so much of the match again.

 My experiences were the exact opposite EI.Every time i went to Wolves there was fighting before the match, Subway Army waiting for you, and after the game, running the gauntlet of bricks on the way to the station.Never saw trouble at the Albion, and believe it or not not much at the Bloose either, maybe i was lucky.

 Regarding the-farmers comments, nice to see proper tackling.The Withe-Brazier tackle was a good old fashioned 50/50, i miss that part of the game definately.

Wasn't as bad at the Albion but was always WW3 at small heath whenever I went there!
