Who barely gets a touch of the ball and offers very little.

We looked decent in attack, but this season we seem to have regressed. Teams have worked us out somewhat. We don't look as effective going forward. Gabby and Weimann don't look like they could hit a barn door. Benteke has been rushed back too soon. Lack of a plan B is a worry. I know our home form is total shite and doesn't look like improving, but I don't think we'll be as effective away from home as we were last season (particularly 2nd half of the season). We're not gonna have too many more games like Man City either. That was a once a season kind of game. I am just trying to clutch at straw to make us feel better.

Is Lambert turning into MON?
Quote from: supertom on October 26, 2013, 08:10:04 PMIf we're comparing Lambert and Martinez then Martinez made a change in the 2nd half and won the game. I think he'll do well at Everton and could potentially get a bigger job after that.Lambert very rarely makes these decisions and have them pay off. I just don't think he has the tactical nous at all. We're as big a job as he'll ever have. Whether he really is up to it remains to be seen. I appreciate he doesn't have a huge budget to work with, but he's had the option to sign more experienced players if needed and not done it. Every decent team going has experienced players. We signed 7 players in the summer for maybe 20 odd million. It's been suggested we had further funds to get a midfielder possibly. We should have just signed 3-4 better quality players, perhaps more proven. I don't mind having players who might be good in 2016, but if we're in the Championship what good is that? Our bench has got to be one of the weakest in the league without a single proven premier league player .The only player we've got that could change things as an impact sub is on loan to Fulham.Piss poor state of affairs

I think randy realise to catch the top 6 now would take huge investment and is perhaps resigned to us being a midtable side - other clubs are spending similar or less than us and achieving that aim but we are underperforming and struggling around the bottoms 6 year on year.I have long lowered my ambitions to a top 8 finish at best in the foreseeable future - the money spent at the club in the last 18 months should be enough to achieve mid table - its time now for lambert to deliver results on the pitch and guide us to the points we need - we do not want another relegation scrap.
I think we've turned into a pebble.

I also believe he has scored once this season for Fulham?

I stand ccrrected. Thanks. I thought it was a solitary goal.
