I've seen 3 or 4 mention it on various threads - can't say I noticed myself .

it was lower. Felt like I was watching the game from the old Witton or the back of the lower section of the Doug

Nowhere near as good for me - tv have done the same at Spuds as well recently - were they just trying to make them feel at home ?

The cameras are now situated exactly where my seat had been for the last 10 or so years, so I am most unhappy with the camera angle

I noticed too, but solved the problem by angling my TV slightly forwards and sitting further away from it.

The new camera angle is virtually at the same height and angle it was for most of the 80s and early 90s. In 1993 when the Doug Ellis was built the camera angle switched to high up on its gantry and stayed there until the 2000-01 season when the camera was placed at a low height on the new Trinity Road Stand. It remained there until 2004 when the camera angle returned to its original position in the Doug Ellis.

Spot on Deano - but imo it's far better when it's higher as it has been for the last 20 years since the Deadly Doug was built (Apart from when they moved it to the Trinity).

Thought we were West Ham playing at the Boleyn ground for a minute. It makes VP look smaller.

Amazed that people could watch the game/highlights and not notice anything different!
Don't Sky do this for their HD coverage? I hate the low camera positions tbh.

3 D coverage, not HD. They have permanently placed several camera positions for this around the ground turfing out fans from those seats now (previously they used them on the odd occasion). Sounds like Dave J is one of them.

Yeah much lower, so harder to see play develop. Not that it really mattered to Villa fans yesterday.
Utter tosh.
