Q&A forum with Faulkner 24th October

Things are a bit tetchy since the everton game and there seem to be a few arguments breaking out - surely on a forum everyone is there to express an opinion be it good or bad and argue their valid points?

Was anything mentioned on the club's current financial position?

How much to we 'owe' the Owner? And will we be turning a profit anytime soon? The wage bill must have fallen off a cliff even with the last remenants of the previous 3 manager's splurges. And TV income has increased this season quite signifcantly.

I know randy likes to avoid publicity and is not comfortable in those situations but I would like him to do a q&a session maybe on the official site for an hour or so as Faulkner has done - all he would need to do is type .

Well when your called a moron by someone which was completely unprovoked I think it only fair I get to respond. Then you turn up and try and make it personal as well. If you want to have a discussion with me, that's fine, no problem. Less of the personal stuff though.

Nobody called you a moron. You made your own decision there. I have had a knock at the club quite a lot in the past, like any supporter does from time to time. The point I was making was that the club opened up communication channels via Facebook and got slagged by morons. Some of them were morons as they clearly had no clue what they were on about. They would just pick up on the flavour of the month and join in, like the sheep they are.

Probably a fair comment. I unsubscribed to Official News on FB 3 years ago. Utter blurb which didn't reflect the reality.

However, rightly or wrongly (or somewhere in the middle) Paul Faulkner will always be associated with the recruitment of TSM and also previosuly GH. To be kind to him neither were let's say Good Management Fits for Villa at the time, for different reasons.

A bit like Michael Fish not being allowed to forget his 1987 comments about not panicing as their was no Hurricaine.

I'm not sure how to not make it personal, the forum is full of threads where your posts exist purely to slag the club off and moan about how shit everything is.  If anyone says something positive you respond as if they're insane and that the only possible outlook on anything related to the club is to be in a constant state of depression.

You have made it personal by being so infuriatingly negative about things that should be seen as positive.  This thread is about the fact that the club agreed to have the ceo and all senior managers (on the business side) stay back on a thursday evening and host an open Q&A with a supporters group.  They do this regualrly with a number of supporters groups.  Instead of seeing the positive impact of this you decided to have a bitch because they didn't announce the minutes, do you not see how painfully negative that is?  I can't target your argument because it doesn't really make any sense so I have to target your general attitude when you post on these boards.

Trying to hide behind a suggestion that I making this a personal attack of some sort is pretty weak as well, I'm attacking your posts and the general tone of them, that's something you've chosen to make public on the board and is perfectly fair.  I've not called you names, or done anything to insult you, I've just questioned why you feel the need to see the negative aspect of every story, even if there really isn't a negative to see.

Saunders is positivity personified to some of our previous posters down the years , in fairness he has been full of praise for the team on occassions like at arsenal , I have had many agrguments with him myself over randy , and managers in the past but I have no problem with him expressing his opinion - its good to debate issues and have varying opinions .

Yes it is worth pointing out and that's why i said  so called plan - I know the general stated a few things about the aim and ambition a few years back , but I do think if randy did a piece in the programme or on the website even if just once a season , we would have some idea of his intentions and ambitions for the club long term.

I personally believe randy has put a lot of money in for lambert in the last 18 months and think its unfair he is blamed by some for being tight .
