Mark (better known as K.P. from King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys) and Dave Woodhall have finally got round to what they've talked about for ages, namely setting up a regular night out for like-minded folk who enjoy good music, decent beer and convivial company.They've found the Rose Villa Tavern, Warstone Lane in the Jewellery Quarter to be a pub with quality beer, decent food and a good atmosphere. It has an upstairs room perfect for small gigs and it's outside the city centre but convenient for bus, metro and train, with good on-street car parking.They will be promoting shows on the second Friday of every month, starting October 11th with a highly-recommended band, Greenway.The door price will be £5; unusually for Dave he won't be looking to make money out of this but he does need to pay the bands. And it's not much for what's going to be a great night out. If this sounds your sort of thing, tell everyone you know and drag them along.
