Veterans of the mailing list will remember Alan, who was involved in the earlier, pre-VFC anti-Ellis protests. He suffered a fall after the Sunderland match last season and never recovered, dying three weeks ago, aged 62.

I didn't see him to speak to very often but he was a good man and the world is poorer for his passing.
