I said on the pre match thread I was a bit disappointed with the negativity, I can understand why but I was confident and I think if everyone is worried all the time does it get to the players? Anyway fantastic win UTV

Their two goals were simply due to shit defending from corners. Our 3 were class.

Although Weimann's goal was a result of some of the worst defending of the day.

I loved Andi's celebration.

The pre-match cowardice made me a tad annoyed.

I wouldn't classify it as cowardice at all.

Well, that was unexpected. Good to see Lambert pick a team for the occasion. It was essential we competed with them physically at least so bringing in Baker and Sylla was justified. I also think Bowery played a good little cameo for the short time he was on the field, using his physique to break up their momentum. City are complaining they were robbed but for all their possession and corners they only had three shots on target, the same as us.

I would. It back a competition over who could out do the next person with utter bollocks such as "record defeat" or "1-7" and "I would snap your hand off for a 0-2 defeat" not to mention "I am glad I fucked my ticket off!1!" style posts.

Craven cowardice of the worst kind, not fucking worthy of the majesty of Aston Villa Football Club.

Overly negative and possibly melodramatic.

Back in sunny lancs, was a joy to eat KFC at Keele services with my 3 boys in blakcurrant and white, surrounded by plastic mancs traveling south and genuine and generous city fans.
My 9 year old called at half time when saying were not out of it.  Of course we were dominated for long periods, but no one can deny the team and squad have spirit and desire to succeed as a collective,  confidence will grow and we will start dominating games against lesser opponents.  Long way to go....but as I told them when leaving the stadium...that's the joy of AVFC...

Manchester has cancelled every planned party tonight as its citizens instead plan moves to Birmingham.

Just a bit.

It can be annoying when folks go into hyperbole mode, but that goes for overly optimistic too.  We're all guilty of it from time to time.

He needed that too.  Hope he gets some confidence back and rips it up like it was at the end of last season.
