I thought we did OK for a while.

You can't really read too much into this fixture, though. Look at the money they've spent.

Completely disagree. Since when were we happy to capitulate to the likes of Man City? We've won a European Cup! Lambert out.

Typical Villa fans. So we gave up a couple of goals late, but we still won 4-2. Blah, blah, blah clean sheets... I love Lambert's approach but it will leave holes at the back and Man City have spent lots. They'll be gutted only scoring twice. Fuck them. Cue the media not giving us any credit and MOTD putting us on last.

Fantastic win. Snatch and grab. City were complacent. For all their dominance, Guzan didn't have to make too many difficult saves.

We were pretty poor first half. Honestly, those goals seemed to come from nowhere, but who the fuck cares. 3 points is 3 points. Aside from the goals I thought we defended very well. From the 70th minute on our defence was superb. They need to keep up this level. Bacuna looks great at right back. Tony Moon was good today.

Sylla and KEA were very good second half. Kozak went through the wringer today.

Man of the match for me was Wiemann. Though he really struggled to get in the game, in the space of 10 minutes he won us the game. First with a barnstorming run leading to the freekick. Then ghosting in for his winning goal. Great to see. Thats what he needs to be doing to step up to the next level. Hes got to be winning games for us, particularly in the absence of Benteke.

This is what football is all about and why I love the villa.

And, I am munching away on a tasty dish of humble pie after negativity earlier this week. Delighted to be eating it.
