I had totally forgotten Weimann was on the pitch.

We need to change pretty much everything during the break, because this isn't acceptable.

Lambert has made a huge custard in not buying that special midfielder and buying bloody Libor

I saw a bit of that saturday thing on sky round my mates

Why do villa struggle at home?   he asked the panel

Every one of them said no guile , they need that creator in midfield , the No 10

well at least they worked it out  and they only watch us on MOTD ;(

As with Spurs on Wednesday, people will say the opposition is just too good, and that's true. But whoever we're playing, we should be able to string two passes together and present some sort of goal threat, occasionally.

That side has been sent out for 90 minutes of possession-yielding, backs-to-the-wall, last ditch defending. We wouldn't have let TSM get away with it, and I don't see why Lambert should either.

We really need to go for this. It's utterly pathetic. Kovak is struggling up on his own. No support, no service. Wiemann's poor.

I'd bring on Albrighton and Tonev to give us a bit of pace and width. There's really no point having 3 CH's today. Our CM is poor. Delph is typically energetic, but KEA is far too cumbersome, and none of our midfield have much in the way of ball control or incisive passing.

Take off KEA or Sylla, and Baker. Bring on two wingers and play Wiemann off Kozak. Or keep the mids, take off Andi and play a 4-5-1.

Tonev was dire on Tuesday he'll offer us nothing.

If we're without those two up front for long periods we are going to badly struggle again this year.

Agree with the McLeish comparisons.  Identical.

The thing is it hasn't worked at home because we've played counter attack tactics, we've changed that now and gone ultra defensive with no counter attacking options. This is utter garbage, we have to give it a go. Take off Baker and bring on a midfielder and just give it a go. We have to get into the midfield and get forward.

Put Clark in front of the back four , play a midfield diamond with KEA in the forward position.

Albrighton for a centre back seems the obvious change to me. But to be honest, the only way we've kept the scoreline down is by packing our penalty area and flailing it away.

Agree entirely.

Man City are a quality side, but too often we'll limply give the ball away when not under any pressure. Our one single attacking option is hitting it long to Kozak. Kompany will cope with that all day long.

I am pretty shocked at the way we've been set up, it is bringing back horrible memories of McLeish.

I support Lambert and haven't felt the need to give him stick yet, but honestly, sending us out like that is going to get the majority of fans on his back very quickly indeed.

Absolute garbage first half. Even if it'd been 0-0 what could anyone claim was good about that ?

No football, no pattern of play, just hoof it up and lose possession. No width, no pace, no invention, NOTHING.

Another 45 minutes at VP without even a sniff of a shot on target.

As one sided a 1-0 half as you'll ever see

Sadly looking like the norm, 10 defeats in 14 home games will be a statistic to be ashamed of along with one clean sheet in 28. :(
