In my humble experience, sometimes when we fully expect to lose, Villa somehow put in a performance that leaves us wondering where it came from, so my hopeful/wishful prediction is 2-1 Villa.

I can see what you are saying, but unfortunately those occasions always seem to be away from home these days. I also agree with eastie that our problems on the left mean we should consider playing Bennett in front of Luna. I have actually swung today from being convinced we would lose to fancying us for a draw. And I haven't had a drink yet.

Have you found martin, our man in Tokyo?

No mate, though, funnily enough, about 5 years ago I visited tokyo and Martin(I'm sure it must be the same guy) recommended a great pub for me to watch the 4-1 Newcastle home game where Carew scored a hattrick. He even told me to say 'Villa Martin' sent you to the bar staff. Is he still around on the site?

What are we worrying about? ."............
Aston Villa v Manchester City - referee: Mike Jones M1, YC2, RC1, PK1.
Jones steps out for just his second top flight game of the season and has Aston Villa, who he has refereed in 10 Premier League games since he got onto the select group referees list. They are yet to lose.
That’s quite a sequence for a team who lose their fair share of games, and Jones was in charge when they lost narrowly at Arsenal in an FA Cup tie two years ago. Given that Jones also sent off City’s Samir Nasri and Gareth Barry in 2012 and you might fancy an unexpected home win......

Sorted then

Any one of their forwards could tear us to ribbons in all honesty. It's like telling Woody Allen he that he won't have to fight Hulk Hogan, but he'll still have to face Macho Man Randy Savage.

Money City are hardly Sunderland-esque, though.

Fuck yeah!

Got a ticket for tomorrow, I've been buzzing since I found out, as the opportunities are few and far between thanks to redundancy and a new baby.

We'll play well, really well, then gift them a soft goal. They'll sit back and dictate the game, look to see it out only for Tonev to come on and snatch the win with two rasping drives late on.

I don't believe this all-optimistic routine you have on this evening.

It's about as natural as the bits on celebrity Mastermind where John Humphreys tries to make chatty small talk with the contestants.
