According to the razor sharp commentary on 5 Live Extra, Lowton came through our youth set up and Nzogbia has already left, you'd think simple facts might not be too much to ask for.

Also, we lost against Norwich.

I thought I'd imagined that, they did actually say it didn't they!

We can but it takes time!! Look at Swansea. Over time they have had a consistent plan. We have to stick by Lambert over time to build the same.
If we carry one losing at home, time is something we haven't got.

There's a photograph of the short pulling incident on the BBC sports page.

Thanks.
"2109: As that photo below shows you, it was fairly extraordinary that Aston Villa didn't get a penalty to be honest. Fair play to Nicklas Helenius, who went out of his way to stay on his feet. Had he gone down in the area then referee Jon Moss had a tough call to make."

Ok, I'm only listening to this game while brewing some ale up, but what a load of bollocks this commentator and Saunders go on about. So far I have heard
"Villa being relegated will be decided in the next few games" Saunders
"Lowton come through our youth academy" Commentator
"Players being sold like Nzogbia" Saunders
"Bent not being replaced" Saunders
"The back four is the exact back four from last season" Saunders

What a load of crap. I'm going back to my brewing.

To be honest it would help us build something if we didn't piss and moan every time a better team is better than us.

Lambert has treated this match exactly like an unwinnable preseason friendly.

I think we will be lucky to finish 12th this year, we have no depth to our squad.  It's alright building for the future but if we ain't careful That future will not be in the prem...

Why are we comparing ourselves to a Spurs squad that have spent about £90 million on players this summer alone? Different agendas, different time scales.
Given the team we had out, did anyone really expect any different?

They did! It makes me sad that we're so off the footballing agenda now that the BBC can't even be bothered to get our last fixtures score right.

we are so poor to watch at home most of the time , it really is depressing , I was feeling optimistic having seen okore in defence but now I fear it will be another very frustrating season - there is so little creativity in our team that its frightening.

Albrighton getting a little bit of joy down the right in last 5 mins. Spurs have taken their foot of the gas to be fair.
