We are giving it much more now. Let's have a goal back and give the crowd some cheer.

According to the razor sharp commentary on 5 Live Extra, Lowton came through our youth set up and Nzogbia has already left, you'd think simple facts might not be too much to ask for.

There's a photograph of the short pulling incident on the BBC sports page.

Also, we lost against Norwich.

Last 10 of the half they looked very good. But then when they have every player in the front 6 worth well over 10m behind Defoe, then against our 1-2 million pound bargains they are going to look a much better side realistically. Because they are. We need to give Lambert the means to get 3-4 technically much better players. Until we do, it will be attrition-al and a struggle.

Exactly Lamela cost £30mil I doubt out entire team and bench tonight cost that.

Then we should stop thinking that we can compete, frankly.

Can't see what we are building towards when the majority of players signed in the summer look wank. Building towards total apathy.

What worries me is that there's a thin line between building something and just becoming the next Wigan, bobbing along and surviving on the cheap.

I don't think we are doing that yet but one thing I thought we really needed to do in the summer was buy better players than we had.

We didn't though, I suspect we've just bought more from the same place we did our shopping last year.

I worry that this is going to become another season of struggle when I see nothing to suggest technical improvement.

Spurs are now in a totally different galaxy to us, which I can accept but it makes me shudder when we get the ball and fail to string two passes together, as that's something we do far too much still.

Yes I keep reading that Lambert is building something special but i'm not seeing it. Fourth home game of the season tonight and if we lose this it will be three defeats. I'd like to know what the special something is going to be.

We can but it takes time!! Look at Swansea. Over time they have had a consistent plan. We have to stick by Lambert over time to build the same.

The problem we have is we talk about building, but there are barely any players in our entire squad who would get near the Spurs team.

Pretty much as expected though. Just have the new players enjoy some game time. We have nothing to lose here, it was always a long shot at beating this kind of expensive team.
