It doesn't make any sense that we're not starting Helenius.

I can only assume that he doesn't want us to play a traditional 442 with him and Kovak (which I somewhat agree with).  Whilst people say Helenius is good dropping deep, I'm not sure he's got the mobility to become an extra midfielder when we need to bulk up the numbers.

In fact from my very limited sightings his style reminds me of Teddy Sheringham.  Useful at dropping deep to find space and make passes, but certainly not an extra midfielder from a defensive perspective.

Lambo and AVB look like good pals...you can just hear them now, having a good mumble to one another.

Back in the days when Martin & Randy could do no wrong, our inevitable early rounds cup defeats were invariably followed by comments along the lines of "Cups don't matter" and "I'd rather get three points on Saturday." I bet nobody says that tonight.

But like when Houllier surrendered at Man City, what are we resting players for tonight. And did I imagine getting to Wembley twice?

Spurs dominant. Slow slow slow quick, trying to get Defoe behind our lumpen defence. Good test and education for our trainees against their internationals.
