I'm not a massive fan of his but Clark was superb all day long.

Last season the general consensus was that Baker was the better defender and Clark was the better footballer. Clark looks like he's matured as a defender now and as well being comfortable on the ball, he now looks a lot more organised and now has the experience that he lacked previously. On the other hand, Baker's going to have a hard time becoming more comfortable on the ball. Between Vlaar, Okore and Clark we've now got 3 definite centre backs for the next few years - Baker's now the one who has to step up.

I've long thought Clark would emerge as a very good central defender, where things went wrong in the past was mostly down to inexperience, he's now looking less likely to sell himself and looks a good defender because of it, I think he's been our 2nd best player after Delph.

I was less than hopeful on Clark after last season, but glad to say he's proved me wrong so far - long may it continue.

He also now has a better and more settled midfield infront of him, which can only help.

Clark has been excellent so far and I think he has a lot more potential than Baker. Baker is still making the exact same mistakes he made when he started, his positional sense just isn't up to it.

They're saying he won't play at all in the first game, but will do in the second game if they haven't guaranteed qualification by then. They only need a point to make the last game meaningless so let's hope they get it.

To be honest, I'd like Benteke to play some part in at least the second WCQ.

Better that than he's rusty for our next league game

Half a game against Wales would help towards match fitness for the Spurs game and give him another week in training .......

If he's fit enough there's no reason why he shouldn't play some part in the second game. It will do him the world of good to get 20-30 minutes in the second half. Should be sufficient time to bag a hattrick against Wales.

If he's fit and plays some minutes against Wales that'd be great, it'd be fantastic if we could have him back for our next game. He adds so much to our team.

he not only gives us fans confidence, but you can imagine what he does for the other players. It is especially a massive boost to Gabby and Andi who know exactly how to play with and around him.
