I would be happy to see us rest all the players who need it for Saturday.

                  Steer
Lowton  Baker Vlaar Bennett
         Bacuna KEA Sylla
                 Tonev
         Helenius  Kozak

Andi to either start or replace helenius up front. Albrighton to come off the bench for Bacuna when needed.

Sure its a "B" team but sod it, they need to play sometime. Why not now?

We're not going to win the league. We CAN win this cup. I want Lambert to play the strongest side possible. Spurs will be resting a few players having played Thursday and Sunday. We should do everything we can to win this.

Agree Toronto Villa.  It's very disappointing to think about playing a weakened team in the only cup we have a better than zero (league) or highly unlikely (Fa Cup) chance of winning.  If it's injuries it's understandable though.

If it's going to be a team of fringe players I can only see a Spurs win.

Don't bother trying. Every time I see a list another name has been added to it. I'm sure someone got second degree burns to the mouth eating Sunday dinner.

I think Kozak starting up top with Helenius floating in and around him is a fairly obvious selection.

I expect Sylla, Delph and KEA to start, its just a question of whether he fancies Tonev or Bacuna in midfield. I would give Bennett a run, but keep Vlaar and Clarke in at centre half.

Managed to get a ticket for my girlfriend's Granddad, so regardless of the score it'll be worth going  :)

Delph was playing through injury on saturday apparently.  I doubt he'll start.

Steer
Lowton Baker Clark Bennett
Bacuna Sylla
Albrighton Helenius Tonev
Kozak

Difficult to come up with a team that balances the need to rest people and yet still have a chance of winning.

Delph certainly needs to be rested and I quite like the idea of seeing Bacuna playing more central.

Tonev needs to have a good game otherwise I'd have him out of the match day squad for a while.

I agree with this also, besides it is still early in the league and we have a tough match against City next anyway.

I am going to be confident and go for a 2-1 Villa win in Full Time.

Clark, and Kozak for us

Replace Baker with Vlaar and I'd go with that, we need the central defenders to form an understanding so the starters should stick together unless form or injury forces a change, for the time being.

I'd ditch the 433. Play Weimann up front with Kozak. Got a good feeling about tonight, think Tonev is gonna score one of his 25 shots from outside the box.
