Was hoping to get a disabled ticket for my girlfriend's granddad for this, he's 90 and was a season ticket holder for about 75 years. Hasn't been to a game for about 4 years, but he still keeps up with all of our games and rang us on Saturday to chat about the win over Norwich.  :D

Not looking like we'll be able to get him a ticket though, the club did say that even on the day of the game a ticket may come up for this.

There is another 2 week break after the Hull game - so strongest team please.  Resting players against a decent team like Spurs is criminal.  If you are going to do that you should let people in for free.

He might not have much of a choice - a lot of our players on saturday were carrying injuries already and with a tough game this weekend.....

With their fixture list and our knocks it is hard to predict the line ups and even harder to predict the result.

Any of our Scottish brethren know of a decent bar that's likely to have the match on in Edinburgh?

It's not on Sky, is it? If not you're unlikely to find anyway here that'll show the thing.

As I expected, thought I'd chance it anyway.

AVB reckons it's an impossible task for Spurs. I think with the squad they have they'll be able to put out a pretty strong team.

Very tough game but sometimes these cup nights at villa park under floodlights produce something special- i will go for a hard fought 2-1 win , but in all honesty i fear spurs will be too strong for us.
They will see this as a real chance for silverware and although resting a few will put out a strong side.

@sportbbcwm: #avfc Paul Lambert says still awaiting scan results on Benteke hip injury. But will make a number of changes for Spurs Cup tie tomorrow.

Looking at the comments of both managers, there seems to be a competition for who wants to win the least. Lambert is clearly not excited, and AVB is doing his level best to say he hopes they lose. Could be a cracking game!

With injury doubts over Clark and Delph, I expect to see them both rested.

Something like:

Steer - Lowton vlaar baker Bennett - sylla KEA - Weimann bacuna Tonev - kozak

Could be a good game for Albrighton to shine.
