Just looking at the Spurs team today....Defoe wasn't in the 18, dunno if he's injured but I imagine he'll start if he's fit. Whatever midfield 5 they put out will probably be good and would imagine the likes of Friedel and Kaboul will get starts at the back.

We won on penalties at Sunderland in the League Cup.

Also won the 2009 Peace Cup on pens against Juventus.

Give the bloke a chance. He's only just signed.

I think it was encouraging to see Tonev shooting at every opportunity. When he scores one, I am sure it will settle him down. Our problem has been lack of goals from midfield, can't blame him for trying.
No idea about the result against Spuds. Could be absolutely anything.  :o

I think Spuds will win after 90 minutes, we just aren't strong enough at home.

Any win. Just any win. If the winner comes off the refs arse I'll take it.

Always a gent.

Our Brad will beat him, though.

Having watched spurs and man city today I may avoid football for the next week or so. Teywere both absolutely awesome.  We've got spurs and Everton coming up at home in the league too

Tourist start to a season I can remember. Don't think there'll be too many points from these games. I think November and December will define our season. Lots of very winnable games and hopefully a fit and in form squad to choose from.

Tonev's shooting is a worry. The Guardian minute by minute report called him a clown for the one in the second half where he had a man free on the right.

The Guardian can fuck off.

These are shit, 2-0 Villa.
