Both players have qualities, both have flaws or things they could work on. Both will need to step up their game and avoid thr mental errors that have affected their play. The worst thing about all of this is that Vlaar was looking better next to Okore. Collectively we will need to stay focused and for the best part of 12 months that has been the deficiency in our defensive play.

Baker and Clark don't have the excuse of lack experience now, they've had a whole season in the firing line. So like you say, the mental errors that were accepted last year to some degree won't be this year. If they haven't improved on last year, and don't perform better then they need to be moved on.
