Vlaar did alright on Saturday I thought.
He was at fault for goal 1 but he wasn't alone. KEA dilly dallied and brushed aside, Lowton all at sea no challenge , Ben Arfa beats the static Vlaar to the ball and buries far too easily.
A microcosm of our problems captured there.

Sorry, I should have added I meant after Okore went off. And in the second half especially. As i'm Lower North it's hard to judge much Holte end of the pitch as you can't much, but from what I saw when he was in front of me he did alright, not great but pretty much everything you'd expect of a CB.

I thought Lowton let Remy get around him far too easily for the first, but then he got a massive stroke of luck when he missed controlled and the ball bounced straight back to him.

Delph, Vlaar and Guzan were our only players who had average games.

Perhaps the thing I was most annoyed about Saturday, and in fairness we saw precious little of it in the last couple of months of last season or the games before it this, was us running out of ideas.

There were countless times at the weekend where we weren't moving off the ball and Delph in particular found himself a yard, looked up, and there was no bugger to pass it to.

I thought we had eradicated that from our game. I said before the match that this was a test of how far we have come. Norwich is now an even bigger examination of that.

Play the same up there and I will start to be concerned that we haven't moved on as I had hoped we would for this season.

Its easy for me to say, but...

We needed some unpredicatability. Tonev running into those spaces in between the midfield and the forwards, Gabby really hugging the touch line, the full backs getting close to him. Sylla putting some presence into the midfield and given Delph licence to use his pace.

Not four up front, launch it, get it back after they have spurned their attack.

I'm adding Clark to that list had a decent game by his standards not at fault for goal 2 as it was Lowton ball watching!
I think Zog was missed .
